The 6th Annual Shell Enthusiasts Holiday Party will be held at the Sanibel Community House on December 9th at 1:00 pm. There will be many changes to the party including activities and contests, as also posted in the December 2018 Junonia.
PLEASE RSVP BY DEC 5!
You will need to prepare for two new contests before the party. Prizes will be awarded for the best personally written short song using a Christmas melody and shell lyrics. And yes, you have to sing it! Also, a prize will be given to the person who is wearing the “Most Tacky Holiday Garb.”
Members of the Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club, volunteers and staff from the Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum, and the Sanibel Community Association shell crafters, shell sorters, and staff are invited to attend.
There will be a potluck lunch. Beverages, plates, napkins, cups and silverware will be provided. Bring one dish to pass for each individual attending and please bring your own serving pieces.
There will be a “White Elephant” gift exchange. Each person who wants to participate should bring a wrapped white elephant gift. Shell related items are preferred. Those who don’t have anything around the house to use can purchase a gift with a value of $10 or less. Prizes will be given for the best and worst gifts.
The party gives everyone who is involved with the different aspects of shell volunteering an opportunity to get together and become better acquainted.
