The Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club invites anyone who is interested in collecting and studying seashells or who enjoys working with shells as an art form to join the club. You will find that it is a great way to meet other people with this common interest.

Newsletter

Sanibel Shell Club members receive the Club’s newsletter The Junonia October through April. The newsletter keeps our members up-to-date about what is happening in the club. It also features timely articles about mollusks, shells or other marine life.
 

Benefits

  • If you are not able to attend our monthly meetings in person (October thru April) you will receive a link so you can attend via Zoom.
  • Get the monthly newsletter The Junonia delivered to your email inbox.
  • Receive member-only emails about important news and events.
  • Connect with like-minded shell enthusiasts.
  • Help us help others with funds for educational outreach on critical marine and mollusk issues.
  • Volunteer to be part of something fun and important.
  • Free admission to the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum!!  Our club supports The Shell Museum by contributing financially as well as through volunteerism, so this is a generous reciprocal year-round benefit for all Shell Club members.
  • Also receive a 20% discount in the Shell Museum gift shop.
  • Arrangements can be made for Club members to use the Museum’s specialized library that focuses on the study of mollusks.  There is an extensive collection of scientific and popular books, scientific journals, and shell club newsletters from around the world.

Annual Dues

The annual dues for membership are payable by January 1st each year:

Single membership        $20.00       

Family membership        $25.00
