The Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club invites anyone interested in collecting and studying seashells, learning about the mollusks that create them, and exploring shells as an art form to join the club. It’s a wonderful way to connect with others who share these interests.

The Sanibel Shell Show is our annual fundraising event which funds our Grant program. Grants are awarded to students, universities, schools and nonprofit institutions that enhance our knowledge of the life history, culture, and environment of mollusks in marine, freshwater or terrestrial environments across southwest Florida. We also fund grants to projects related to conservation and water quality related to the Gulf of Mexico, as these directly impact the habitats in which mollusks live.

Newsletter

Sanibel Shell Club members receive the Club’s newsletter The Junonia October through April. The newsletter keeps our members up-to-date about what is happening in the club. It also features timely articles about mollusks, shells or other marine life.

    Our club supports the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum & Aquarium by
  contributing financially as well as through volunteerism, so this is a generous
  reciprocal year-round benefit for all SCSC members.

The annual dues for membership are payable by January 1st each year:
