Don’t forget to attend our monthly Shell Club meeting at 1:45pm on Sunday Jan 13, 2019. Our meetings begin with refreshments, mingling, and a silent auction before the talk starts shortly after 2pm.
REMEMBER: this meeting will be at Sanibel Community House because the Shell Museum is closed for renovations.
The topic of the January program will stay the same as advertised in the January Junonia (FGCU’s reef restoration using hockey sticks in partnership with Rink2Reef), but we will have a last minute change. The FGCU hockey team had a great season and has been invited to external tournaments beginning this weekend. So Bob Wasno, our original speaker who also happens to be the coach for the hockey team, must travel to Ohio. Actually a noteworthy excuse given the success of the FGCU teams.
In his place will be Dr. Mike Parsons, who is the director of the Vester Marine Sciences program and an equal expert in their research activities.
