Sanibel Shell Show Volunteers Needed

Submitted by Joyce Matthys. The 83rd Annual Sanibel Shell Show will be here before we know it. Because it is the one and only major fundraiser for our Shell Club, we ask our members to volunteer for at least 2 hours during the three-day show. All the shifts are 2 hours long.

The Shell Show dates are March 5, 6 and 7. If you missed the January meeting call for volunteers, please email or call Clair Beckmann to sign up. (clairann2000@yahoo.com or 239.472.4524)

Here are some of the ways that you can help during the Shell Show:

  • Staffing the Author’s Table
  • Selling T-shirts in the T-shirt tent
  • Selling craft shells
  • Selling tickets at the door
  • Being an energetic greeters to welcome people to the show
  • Hosts and hostesses for both exhibit halls to remind people not to touch the exhibits and to answer questions. If you don’t know the answer, don’t worry, you can send them to the information desk.
  • Are you an early morning riser? We need someone to come in at 6:00 a.m. to put on the coffee.

Can you help out by selling t-shirts?
Are you a cheerful person? We need help selling tickets at the door and greeting visitors.
One more way you can help volunteer is by being a host or hostess to oversee either the Scientific Division or Artistic Division halls.
Will you help out in the kitchen? Or come in at 6am to make coffee?
