We’re feeling the love from the great feedback. Our goals were to entertain, educate, and engage our membership and the public, and raise money for our 2021 grants program. Missions accomplished!
The amazing Virtual Sanibel Shell show has had over 5,000 views so far this premiere weekend from 27 states plus Canada, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean. Before the show started we had lots of viewers waiting, and it was fun to chat with everyone through YouTube, email, and website comments.
STATS
- Over 24,000 YouTubers received our Virtual Show video recommendations on their channels
- More than 5,100 viewers watched parts of Day 1 and Day 2
- 200 people watched the entire 3 hours of Day 1
- 231 people watched the entire 3 hours of Day 2
- We received 570 comments on our two videos plus almost that many in chats
- 93% of viewers were female viewers (many with partners also viewing)
- 46% of our viewers were at the young age of 65+
DOOR PRIZE WINNERS
Our door prize campaign was also hugely successful. We wanted to hear your feedback about our videos so decided to pick door prize winners from comments by three methods as an incentive. With over 500 comments by YouTube, 500 chats, 150+ by email, 50+ by website, we wish we had more than 12 door prizes!
