The synergy of combined efforts from sponsors, world-class exhibitors, and our many volunteers enables us to raise money for our Grants Program. We are immensely proud to report that from 1997 to this fall, our Shell Show profits allowed us to provide more than $389,000 in grants to colleges, universities and organizations that foster environmental projects in support of the ocean and the environment.
Last year’s recipients were the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum, the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation, Florida Gulf Coast University and the Conchologists of America Scholarship Fund.
On March 3, 4, and 5, we will return to the Sanibel Community House for our 85th Annual Sanibel Shell Show. This highly competitive show attracts exhibitors from around the United States and Canada, and as far away as Europe, Japan, India, New Zealand and the Caribbean. In 2020, there were 295 entries in the show. Exhibitors came from 60 cities in 23 states and four countries.
Extensive worldwide research has determined that the Sanibel Shell Show is, in truth, the longest running shell show in the world, and this landmark event will be celebrated in a number of ways that will be publicized in the coming months.
The 2022 Sanibel Shell Show will offer increased recognition to our sponsors:
• New this year, banners of varying sizes (depending on your level of sponsorship), bearing our major sponsor’s names and/or business logos, will hang in the exhibit halls.
• Major sponsors’ names and/or logos will also be displayed during the Shell Show at the site of their sponsorship.
• All sponsors will be recognized on our website throughout 2022, and on our Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as in a full-page newspaper advertisement following the Shell Show.

Thanks for your kind words. The Virtual Shell Show was a great way to continue the longest running shell show in the world during the pandemic, but we are looking forward to returning to the in-person show in 2022. Hope you can make it to Sanibel!
