Welcome to the Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club

The Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club currently has over 300 members. Many of these do not live in southwest Florida but can attend our meetings via Zoom. These members range from beginners with a few inexpensive shells to knowledgeable collectors with very valuable collections. Read about our Club’s history on the ABOUT US page.

Shell collecting may be a lifelong professional interest or a happy diversion for one’s spare time. In either case, we feel that no other group of collectors in any field has any more fun, or experiences more satisfaction, than shell collectors. The one thing we all share, young and old, is an enthusiasm for shells. As a group we are responsible collectors devoted to increasing our knowledge while searching for perfection and diversification in shells. Click HERE to join our club

Monthly meetings are usually held at the Sanibel Community House and are open to anyone interested in mollusks, the shells they create and our oceans.
