We’re just days away from the 83rd Annual Sanibel Shell Show and Festival held March 5, 6, 7, 2020 at the Sanibel Community House. Are you ready?!? Here’s some help to get you prepared:
Arrive early for best parking spots. Note that Causeway and Sanibel traffic during the Shell Show can be quite challenging. Play some tunes or your favorite podcast, sip your coffee, and just breathe! (Note: I doubt your trip across the Causeway will look like this in March!)The Shell Festival is the outside part with T-shirt sales, Shell Crafters tents, food vendors, live mollusk tanks. Lots to see! Wear sunscreen and a hat. Drink plenty of water; please bring your own water bottle and use the filler station inside the Community House). Our March weather is epically perfect–sunny and hot. Inside the Community House is the famous Sanibel Shell Show. Entrance is “free” except we strongly request a $5 donation per person. This helps offset the expense of renting this large space and display tables. In appreciation for your $5 donation, you will receive a bag of Sanibel shells. They are diverse, lovely, and there are alot of them in your bag. Perfect for yourself or the grandkids.
2020 Shell Show t-shirts were designed by some great club members and come in various colors, styles, and sizes. You have to come to the Shell Show to buy one.Once inside the Community House, you’ll see the entry way to the Shell Show including Author’s Table with books for sale and authors available to sign, Craft Shell sales, Jewelry sales.
Once you enter into the large exhibit hall, you’ll see that we have two divisions: Scientific and Artistic. Both sides are so amazing that you’ll want to take your time and see everything! If you’d like to join our wonderful shell club, you can join during the shell show at our membership table, or click here to download the form.
We will have some Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club member gear for sale. Look for these at the book table.
