Sanibel BIG 5 Shells
The focus of the meeting will be a special sharing (and FILMING) of stories of your finding what some people refer to as “The Big Five.” They include the Junonia, Scotch Bonnet, Lion’s Paw, Alphabet Cone and Wentletrap.
What’s Your Big 5 Shelling Story?
We want to hear YOUR short, FUN, or INTERESTING STORY about finding a couple of these shells. Did you steal the bonnet from under your friend’s foot? Did it take you 30 years of looking to finally spot a wentletrap? Was it a crazy crowded beach and nobody but you saw it? We will record you while you share your stories and the edited rousing tales of shelling will be part of a feature during our 2021 Virtual Sanibel Shell Show that will include scientific facts about “The Big Five.”
So find your Sanibel Big 5 Shells, round up the one or two shells you would like to briefly talk about and be ready to show them to us. Plan to be part of a fun story sharing time on ZOOM with your fellow enthusiasts.
